Nick Vatalaro (BES, IRDC, CAPS), is Principal at niva creative inc., an interior design studio specializing in assisting aging adults stay in their own homes with dignity and respect for as long as possible.
From consulting and design to project management and renovation, Nick leads a team offering renovation and assistive technologies solutions that help eliminate physical barriers, enabling people to stay and thrive in their homes as they age.
Nick is an approved NAHB instructor teaching CAPS and Universal Design designation courses throughout North America.
He is also one of a select group of Canadian design professionals to earn the industry leading Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) designation as well as a designation in Universal Design from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in Washington, D.C. He holds design certificates in Universal Design and Home Modification and Universal Design and Interior Environments from the Center for Inclusive Design and Environmental Access, University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning. He is also a Design Trade Professional member of Interior Décor Resources Canada.
His talent, knowledge and resources allow him to design spaces that are accessible and functional regardless of age or abilities. His skills are focused on helping people live their lives at home for as long as possible with dignity, safety and independence.

Sandra takes great pride in all her endeavours, both professionally and personally. Sandra and her team advocate being conscientious of our environment, communities and businesses. As active participants in schools, through co-op education, fundraising events, Hospital House Tours, Designer Showcases and community specialty services, Sandra and her team are proud to be able to give back to the community.
